Parallel to the rapid advancement of medical sciences, focus on alternative medicine as preventive measures has also increased at a feverish pitch.
Alternative medicine, in common parlance, relates to all health medicines and healing systems other than the allopathy. Most eastern or Asian systems of healing fall under the category of alternative medicine. These systems of healing are premised on the understanding that the human body as a unit is capable of curing itself from any disease; the alternative healing systems simply aid the body’s inbuilt capacity to recover and recuperate.
Many of these healing systems contend that the person’s state of mind is the key to his or her health and well-being. Therefore, in ancient Indian systems like Ayurveda the effort is more on correcting any imbalance in the mind and body which has caused the ailment.
According to the 5,000-year old health medicine system of Ayurveda, the universal life force is represented or manifested in every human body through types of energy, called doshas. Every human body is said to be composed of three doshas: pita, kapha, and vata. Any physical disease or mental disturbance is said to be caused by the imbalance of the doshas.
For healing, Ayurveda uses a combination of herbs, dietary practices, yoga exercises and other therapeutic processes. One of the very well-known Ayurvedic healing methods is the panchakarma. A person undergoing panchakarma is required to abandon fish and meat and consume only simple, non-spicy vegetarian food. This regimen has to be followed up with regular practice of yoga and meditation. The high point of panchakarma is the massage sessions. Herbal oils are used by professional practitioners to rub into the body of the person undergoing treatment. Shirodhara is a significant aspect of panchakarma where hot herbal oil is dripped on the center of the person’s forehead. These Ayurvedic treatments have proved to cure ailments from common cold to nervous disorders over varying spans of time.
These health and healing systems are gaining immense popularity across the world as they are completely non-invasive, holistic and free of side-effects.

The disease that is causes by the Plasmodium Falciparum organism is the one that is very severe and can cause death in many cases.

The actual signs and the symptoms of the disease will vary from one person to another and will also vary depending on the type of the parasite that is infecting the person. The spectrum of infection can also vary depending on the kind of malaria that is affecting the person.

There are some common signs of Malaria that will help the clinician to be able to suspect as well as diagnose Malaria. Though confirmatory tests are usually done to test for the presence of Malaria, there are some instances where the facilities may not be available and in these situations, the treatment of malaria is started.

The presence of nausea and vomiting with headache are the common signs that are related to the presence of Malaria. Many people have an increase in the temperature. Though all these signs and the symptoms of the disease point to the fact that the person may have Malaria, the confirmatory test will be the best method of identifying the disease before treating the person for Malaria.

Any person who has recently visited a place that has a high incidence of Malaria should immediately be suspected to have the disease, if they present with the signs and symptoms that have been mentioned here. Since many of the signs and the symptoms of the disease are not very severe, many people tend to take it lightly initially. This causes the disease to worsen leading to severe problems. Types Of Malaria

There are four common kinds of malaria that are seen in people. These kinds of malaria can affect any person, but there are some people who are at a high risk of being affected by the disease. The people who can be commonly affected are those who live in areas where there is a high incidence of malaria.

The 4 common kinds of malaria that are seen include the Plasmodium Vivax type of Malaria. This is commonly known as the P.v. type. The other type of Malaria is the Plasmodium Malariae. This type is also known as P.m. The plasmodium ovale and the Plasmodium falciparum are the two other kinds of malaria that are also commonly seen. These are known as P.o and P.f respectively.

The type of Malaria is mainly classified on the basis of the organism that causes the disease. For example the Plasmodium vivax type of Malaria is caused by the P. vivax organism. Though the types of Malaria may vary depending on the organism that causes the disease, there is another difference between the different types of Malaria. This difference is based on the various signs and symptoms that are associated with the Malaria.

The Plasmodium Falciparum is the kind of malaria that can be fatal in many instances. This is because this kind of malaria causes a lot of severe complications. The immediate treatment of the Malaria is very important. This is because if there is a delay in the treatment of Malaria, then it can even lead to other complications that may even cause death. Other than the treatment of the Malaria, the prevention of Malaria is very important as the disease can be prevented very easily by making sure that simple measures are undertaken. These measures include the use of mosquito repellents and mosquito nets.

Simple Methods Of Preventing Malaria

Malaria is a common disease in the tropical countries. Though it is prevalent in many countries all over the world, it is seen commonly in the developing nations and also in the tropical countries. The reason for the high prevalence in these countries is because of the fact that the mosquitoes thrive in the climate. The other reason for the common occurrence of malaria in these places is also because of the low socio economic condition of the people that causes overcrowding, poor hygienic conditions. All of these play a role in the cause and the transmission of the disease.

There are certain methods that can be used to make sure that the disease is prevented. These measures are so simple that the prevention of Malaria is the best method of making sure that it is not occurring. There are four different methods that can be commonly used in the prevention of the disease and they are listed here.

Any person who is traveling in a place where the risk of being infected with the malaria parasite should wear protective clothing. There is no specific clothing that will protect the person, but any dress that causes the exposed areas to be covered to prevent the bite of a mosquito will prevent the disease.

The use of mosquito repellents will also make sure that there are no mosquitoes biting the person. There are many repellants that are very effective these days. This will help the person to be able to overcome the cause of the disease completely.

Mosquito nets have been very effectively used to prevent the disease as it is the sleeping time when the person is infected with the malaria parasite commonly. Making sure that the mosquitoes cannot enter the house by taking preventive action like netting the house is another method that can help prevent malaria.

Why Hygiene Is Very Important To Prevent Malaria

Malaria is a disease that is caused by mosquitoes. If the mosquitoes are controlled, then Malaria can also be overcome. There are many people who try a lot of things to try and prevent the disease. They might use various protective methods like netting the windows in the house and other methods. This may help to prevent the mosquitoes that enter the house. If the same person goes outdoor, then the risk of the mosquitoes biting the person increases and this can lead to various instances of mosquito bites.

The best method that can be used to prevent the mosquito bites is to reduce the number of mosquitoes that are present. Though this is not a fool proof method as the mosquitoes may not die, they can be reduced in number. This is also the reason for the hygiene in a particular geographic area to be very good. Increased hygiene means that there will not be water stagnation. Drainage will improve and this can prevent the mosquitoes from breeding.

In many places, there may still be stagnation of water. In these water bodies, the introduction of gambusia fish will help to keep the mosquitoes under control because they feed on the mosquito larvae. If there is any water body present in a particular area, then the risk of Malaria will increase. So the single most important method that can help to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes is to make sure that the water bodies are covered to prevent the mosquitoes from settling in the water to lay the eggs. The life cycle of the mosquito can also be curtailed by the use of various medications that kill the larvae in the water. Though various methods of killing the mosquitoes and larvae are present, the improvement in hygiene that increases water drainage and hygiene remain the best method to overcome Malaria.

Cellphones are a necessity for every adult, teen, and a child. From being a luxury a few years back, it has become so affordable that anyone can afford one. It has caused people to be connected to their family, friends, colleagues and strangers who call at odd hours to sell pills that you have never heard of. Do you even stop to imagine what it would be like if there were no cellphones?
A research has showed that people have started spending 25% of their day on taking to someone on cellphone. In some cases it goes higher. The mobility of cell phone makes then easy to move anywhere like toilets, supermarkets, vehicles and even airplanes. Cell phone use radiations to transmit and receive data from cell phone towers while we are talking. These are trascripted and decoded in real time inside the cell phone and presented to you like sound. These radiations have been shown to have a health hazard. Specifically to the brain since the cell phone is kept next to the ear. These radiations have known to cause brain cancers, brain related diseases and decreased mental power. Millions of dollars have been spent to find the connection between cell phone radiation and dwindling brain power and brain cancers. Rats have been known to develop tumors and decreased bone strength because of increased exposure to radiation. It also causes damage to the human DNA and misrepresents the genetic code. It also has shown to diminish the vital blood brain separation that is very import for the proper functioning of the brain. In blood the radiations cause the development of micro-nuclei pieces that cause cancer to develop much faster. These are serious effects that are a cause for concern, since almost 50% of the world’s population currently uses cellphone.

Why Should Malaria Be Identified Early

Malaria is a common disease in the tropical regions. There are many people who live in certain areas who seem to suffer from Malaria many times. There are various reasons for the person to be affected by Malaria. Though the bite from the mosquito is the reason behind the person from being affected by the disease, the person is not affected if adequate protective and preventive measures are taken. In case of the lack of methods to prevent mosquito bites, especially in areas where the disease is endemic, then the person is affected by the disease soon.

Malaria is also a deadly disease if it is not treated. This makes it very important for the person to treat the disease very early. The disease causes the Plasmodium parasite to multiply inside the body. This parasite enters the body when the mosquito bites the person. As soon as the bite is over the parasite enters the blood stream and after it multiplies to a certain extent, it can lead to a very severe kind of the disease.

The Plasmodium Falciparum is the most severe form of the disease. If the disease is not treated early enough, the numbers of parasites that are present in the body keep increasing. This causes more symptoms and the severity of the existing symptoms may also become worse. In this situation, the person needs to be treated very early at least after the severity of the signs. If the condition is even ignored at this time because of factors including ignorance, then the person will be affected by a coma. If the person enters the coma situation, then it can lead to various complications that could even lead to death. Identification of the disease and treatment as early as possible is very important for the person to prevent suffering from these consequences.
